COMEX AI International Conference gives a deep insight into the Future
From smart assistants like Siri to self-driving cars, artificial intelligence, a system with high potentials to simulate cognitive abilities of humans, has grown rapidly to be very strong in the present world. Countries have started to benefit from Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced technologies in different fields for economic growth and ways of progress in different areas. According to statistics, it’s contribution to the global economy predicted to reach USD 15.7 trillion by 2030, with USD 320 billion of the Middle East overall market size.
In 2020, Oxford Insights issued the Government AI Readiness Index. The index looked into different factors, including national policies for AI adoption and applications, digital potential, governance, vision, ability to innovate, and infrastructure. The Sultanate of Oman was ranked 48th internationally and 6th in the Middle East which demonstrates the country's artificial intelligence readiness in using AI as a tool to boost economic sector productivity. His Majesty Sultan Haitam bin Tariq emphasized, in his very first speech to the nation, on the importance of small and medium enterprises to the development process of the country stressing on the value of startups based on artificial intelligence, innovation, and advanced technologies.
Aspiring to transform Oman by empowering its people through various technological advances made possible by AI, COMEX AI will be held from 24 - 25 May 2022 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, Muscat. It is an international conference designed to ensure that the national vision of AI adaptation in government and corporate sectors is achieved. The conference will examine the potential of AI across various industries in one empowering agenda with the goal of providing a platform for various stakeholders such as ministries, research institutions, and industry experts to share current market trends, technological advancements, and challenges of AI in the digital transformation of different industries.
