Tech CEO's Meet of COMEX2022

Muscat- COMEX: Oman’s official technology event, held Tech CEO's Meet at Crowne Plaza Al Qurum yesterday, May 16, 2022. Almost 55 representatives of exhibitors, supporters, and sponsors took the media through a brief talk about their participation at COMEX2022 and their initiatives towards Oman Vision2040 for digital transformation.

Amr Abdullah Baabood, CEO of OITE & ARB organizers of COMEX2022 said, “As technology concerns every citizen and resident, COMEX2022 is here to highlight the digital transformation in Oman through hosting ministries, authorities, and companies to participate and showcase their achievements and opportunities for innovation in technology and their steps towards Oman Vision 2040.”  

“This year, more than 80 companies are taking part in Comex2022. For the first time, we will have a dedicated zone for more than 150 startups called Comex Tech Venture, where many startups from across the region will have the opportunity to showcase their products and services.” Amr Baabood added. 

Dr. Salim Al Ruzaiqi, Chairman of Oman IT Society, indicated that Comex has grown over the years to become the biggest official show in Oman for government entities and enterprise companies to showcase their products, services and innovation in ICT.  Al Ruzaiqi added, “ COMEX is the perfect place for technology buyers and decision makers from public sectors, especially the sectors highlighted for growth in Oman Vision 2040, to attend and collectively achieve the common vision of a better, integrated and digital future.”

Sadiq Khan, Group COO of OITE & ARB explained that people can also visit Comex virtually from their houses. “The virtual exhibition with realtime physics will allow people to feel like they are physically at the event by experiencing 3D environments and creating their own personal avatar to explore across different pavilions” Said Sadiq Khan.
